HIAB

A HIAB or Hydrauliska Industri AB is a lorry loader vehicle. A license is not required for a HIAB but in order to operate one you do need to complete recognised training for Health & Safety purposes

HIABs come with different attachments so that it can perform a variety of lifting procedures. The most popular attachments are hook, clamshell and brick grab. Although not an actual attachment to fit onto the crane, a remote control is also classed as an attachment

Newcroft provide HIAB training that is ALLMI (Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers) accredited. Upon successful completion of HIAB training, you will receive an ID card similar to the one on the right which is valid for 5 years. When the 5 years is almost up, you will only need to complete a refresher course in order to receive another 5 years accreditation
